So by now most of you know that I'm a music teacher, so listening to the recorder daily can be torture at times. We've been doing this activity called Recorder Karate, where each song is a belt. Most of my kids are testing for their Orange belt, which is Merrily We Roll Along. (sounds just like Mary Had a Little Lamb.) Every Friday each child gets up and performs the song by themselves without any mistakes. Well, today is Friday and it was testing time.
Me: Ok Tajanae, it's your turn.
Tajanae: Ok, (plays with a bunch of mistakes)
Me: Good work Tajanae, but we still need to practice that song. OK?
Tajanae: (screams) WHAT? THAT WAS FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Me: (I just look at her and bust out laughing along with everyone else.)
